Thankful

On facebook everyone has  been doing a thanks a day for the days in November.  I haven't done that.  But I do have 30 things to be thankful for (and more).  Here are some of them, in no particular order.

)My husband.  I couldn't have married a better man.  Sometimes I don't give him enough credit.

)My kids.  Whoa, I know everyone says this, but my kids are the best.

)My family.  Both sides and all of them.

)My house.  I love my house.  As a real estate agent I know that people can adore their home or they can just tolerate it.  I love my house and am so grateful we have it.

)A great career.  We have been blessed to do so well in real estate over the last 10 years - through the good and the bad and the good markets.

)America.  Despite frustration over government policies, we still live in a free country.  I'm not in jail for my faith or disagreements with the government so that's a plus.

)Mountains.  I love them.  And I live near them.  They give me peace.

)Technology.  Of all sorts.  It makes  our lives better.  (and sometimes, worse.  But mostly better).

)Food.  We have an abundance of it.  And I love eating it.  Especially Cafe Rio.  Annie loves that place too.

)Sleep.  I love a good sleep.

)My husband letting me sleep in.  Since he's in real estate too I don't have to wake up early.  John helps with the kids in the morning.  Yeah!

)Church.  I have a great church family and friends.

)Music.  I forget how good music can be for the soul.

)Friends.  I've got some great ones.

)Clients.  I've got some great ones of those too.

)Airplanes.  They can take me across the country to see friends and family so that we don't seem so far away.

)Books.  I love reading.  I love that my daughter loves reading and I love reading to her.  It's one of my favorite times of day.

)Coffee.  I've always loved a good cup of coffee.  This year (much to my chagrin) I've gotten into the seasonal flavors, which are pretty great.   It's pretty bad for my wallet though.

)Showers.  A nice hot shower in the morning away from noise is very relaxing.

)Essential oils.  Lately they've become a hobby.  They are pretty cool.

)Digital photographs.  When we are old and gray our kids are not going to be lacking on the picture front for family history.

)Change of seasons. And living in a place that actually has them.

)Skirts and flip flops in the summer.  Scarfs and fingerless gloves in the winter.  I am hardly ever without one of these items on me throughout the year.

)Shoes.  I'm not one of those girls that has a million shoes or spends a lot of money buying them.  But, I like a good shoe.  Especially if it's a low top converse all star, a mary jane or a flip flop.

)Outdoor activities.  I need to remember to do these more often though.

)The orange post it note on my computer from my husband that just says "Love you."

)Holiday shows.  Peanuts does some of the very best for each holiday of course along with Christmas movies like "It's a Wonderful Life."

)Holiday decorating.  My daughter loves to look at all the different homes that decorate for the holidays.  It's one of the fun things that we do together wherever we are driving.   Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are the best, of course, but we even have some neighbors who decorate for other holidays like Valentines day.  Of course we love the flags that go up on appropriate holidays too.

)Holiday music.  I guess I'm in the holiday spirit.

)Holiday smells.  Pine especially.  And the food.  Yep, definitely in the holiday spirit.

I hope that everyone has a fabulous day!

I love holiday smells, too. We always put up a real tree because I love the smell of a pine tree throughout the house.
