Don't throw those old real estate and political signs away . . .

Don't throw those old real estate and political signs away. Re-purpose them. When I started my brokerage, I had a lot of old real estate signs from my three previous broker's offices. What good are they when you start with a new company? Plenty.

Rather than buying all new signs, why don't you create your new signs through BuildASign.com? Even better, why don't you create a decal that will cover your old signs and give them new life. The cost is much lower, and it will give you the ability to make signs specifically for your needs at the time.

I've been able to create open house, house for sale, real estate school and regular company signs for much less than buying all new signs. It has kept my old signs out of the landfill, and it has given me a vast array of new creative options.

Build A Sign also has big box company logo signs that you can customize with your own pictures or artwork. So, when you're ready for new signs, don't throw your old real estate and political signs away, re-purpose them.

The Build A Sign site is easy to work with, and you'll be happy with the results. There are multiple options for the type of material, size of the sign and colors you can use. You will approve the design before you place the order, and in a few weeks you'll have fresh new signs to use in your business.

Mike-That is a great recycling idea and it sounds cost-effective too. I like the repurpose idea. Thanks.

Great idea and a money saver. I also use some of the wire stakes for paper signs to support plants in our home garden. They are handy.

Wayne, it's a huge savings. I guess I was able to re-purpose 30+ signs.

That's a clever idea, Roy.

Mike, I have used Build-A-Sign Before.  It's a great company and very affordable.  I like your thinking to re-purpose old signs.  Not only does it save money, it saves the land-fill too.

When I changed the logo for my company the local sign company reused the material from my old sign. This is good to now for some of the sign riders I have.

I have ordered through BuildASign before Mike and have been pleased with the whole process. My sign riders looked exactly like I created them. I'll have to check into the decal idea as I still have a couple of old riders in my closet.

Amanda, I've never been disappointed with their products. I've made a few ordering mistakes, but no pronblem. I've taken those signs, cut them down and ordered decals to repurpose them.

Thanks, Sheila. Have a great weekend.

Absolutely, Kathleen. They are great to work with.

Cindy, I love being able to create my own sign riders with my own sayings on them. They're cheap enough that if I don't like the end result, I can start over and make a new one.

There you go, Andrea. I had about 20 18X24 signs left over from my previous company. I've been able to use them for open house and directional signs. Cheap, good looking and a quick response. It's a great company.

Great idea.   Should be a Gold Star featured post to make everyone aware of this company.

I, too, have repurposed old signs by covering them with new decals.   I usually make the old company signs into generic "Open House" signs with an arrow underneath for use when I sponsor or cater a Realtor's open house.
