Back to work, but a lot in my life to be Thankful for....

Lake SinclairTomorrow our office will open again and it's back to work.  But for the most part I had two wonderful days off.  On Thanksgiving day we spent it with friends.  Had turduckin for the first time.  So while I can scratch that off my "list" I can't really recommend it.  But the side dishes were to die for.  Not traditional dressing... but wonderful Cagan Sausage dumplings.  The sweet potatoes were wrapped in bacon.

Today was our Thanksgiving.  The day when my daughter and my brother could be there for our celebration and it was mostly tradition.  We did try a different corn and sweet potato dish this year, but we also had turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.  And I was stuffed at lunch, so I waited and had my pie and coffee for dinner.  We all shared our various dishes in take home plates among my family.

I did get a few work calls.  I've got an appraisal schedule to make for Monday.  Two of our agents have appointments for tomorrow so I'll have to go in and cover the office.  And I have a new listing I need to go and photograph and get signs and lockbox in place and get it into the MLS.  So tomorrow it's right back to work.  Although Thanksgiving is behind us on the calendar I will continue to be Thankful for all my blessings when I head back to the office tomorrow.

Hello Tammy. I always love reading about your family gatherings. Sounds somewhat like mine. After dinner we piled all the leftovers into 'take-home' containers. I had turkey & fixings for lunch & dinner. Just as good second & third time. Tomorrow I am making turkey soup.

Tammy, I've had a busy week and it's not over yet but I have so much to be thankful for that I refuse to complain.

Wonderful to hear about you two days off. Turducken is now off your list...but you needed to try it once. Here's to a successful end of the year.

So, it was a "TurYuckin"??  I'll take your word for it, and not keep that on my list of must tastes.  The side dishes do sound delish . . . and I love traditional Thanksgiving meals.  Glad to hear you took two days off!
