As most of you know I have been in the mortgage industry on and off for about 7 years. I’ve worked as a Certified Mortgage Consultant for Global Home Loans & Financing, Mortgage World, LLC and LHA Mortgage Services, specializing in loan diversity and have been known as one of the top loan officer in the State of Georgia by websites such as www.activerain.com and www.wannanetwork.com . I have also worked as a Property Manager for a couple of prestigious Real Estate Companies in Georgia and California, where I coordinated efforts to increase revenue, market creatively and lease up multi family units. I’ve created and implemented marketing plans for some of the top Real Estate Developers, Mortgage Companies and Real Estate Brokers in the country.
Most recently I have launched EOTM Properties aka EOTM Real Estate Group. EOTM R.E.G. is a full service for all real estate needs for owners, investors and residents. Our services ranging from financial advice, credit counseling, consultation on all aspects of real estate including tax liens, to tenant placement and screening to real estate rental & leasing services, management and marketing. www.eotmrealestategroup.com.
I always felt it was very important for people to understand the importance of homeownership. This is what I’ve preached in my seminars, radio shows, blogs, bulletins and newsletters for years. "Getting a piece of the American Dream, How You Can Improve Your Credit Score, Major Mortgage Mistakes That Can Land You In
Foreclosure, Buying with Little or No Money Down" is just a couple of articles I’ve written about.
Unfortunately, for me….no matter how much I feel I may have educated individuals to be in a better position financially to be able to buy…loans still defaulted….. These accommodations simply should not have happened….never came to pass. Looking back on the loans I have written…. I often ask myself…. "Did I have a hand into making this industry what it is today"? I will be the first to say, "Yes"….. I did. However it wasn’t intentional.
We were caught riding the incredible waves of low interest rates and no money down home loans for subprime borrowers as well as a number of other loan programs catered to investors. Little ole "me" was happy and proud to be putting families in homes that otherwise without these new programs and my efforts would not have been possible. It was what we all wanted at the time and it was, what I felt…a win, win situation for all involved.
The days where it was easy as pie to own a piece of the American dream and slowly become financially independent via homeownership may now seem long gone for some homebuyers…..but for those who still have an inkling of hope…there are new and improved ways to own a home and keep a home, if you so choose.
We must all realize that this mortgage crisis we now find ourselves in not only effects the homeowners, it effects, the lenders, loan officers, realtors, appraisers, construction companies, banks, investors…just to name a few. It has devastated thousands of families nationwide. We are all trying to regroup from this mortgage meltdown, making smarter loans, better decisions and putting in place programs that will help homebuyers in the future.
EOTM Real Estate Group’s Community Building Initiative is to right a wrong…so to speak. Creating hope, sooner rather than later. Building better building blocks…the kind that will withstand storms and make our parents and grand parents proud. An initiative that is needed.
This initiative will help families that have had their homes foreclosed on within the past two years get back on track to a brighter tomorrow for themselves and their families.
Understanding why the market crashed is one thing, having an even greater understanding of what it will take to make it better and putting this into place in our communities is what we as mortgage and real estate professionals should be willing to do.
The EOTM’s Real Estate Group Community Initiative will help Families find quality homes to rent or lease for a 12 – 24 month period. Within that time frame these families will work hand and hand with our Credit Coaches to help put them back on track to homeownership, the right way. We currently work with some dynamic investors and
lenders that appreciate our passion and are willing to do all they can to contribute to our initiative. We will also be offering seminars in the hopes of educating consumers on the process. Tips to know before obtaining a mortgage, how purchase loans are made, bankruptcy, the importance of homeownership in our communities, foreclosures, lease to owning and how it really works, why homeownership makes sense, disputing errors on your credit reports and more. Helping to turn the once subprime borrowers into Prime borrowers.
We currently have homes available to rent or lease with option all across Atlanta and we offer easy qualifying for families that were directly affected by this mortgage catastrophe.
Our homes are conveniently located in Fulton, DeKalb, Rockdale, Newton, Clayton, Henry, Cobb & Gwinnett Counties, quickly expanding into other regions. All of our homes are managed by EOTM Properties, LLC.

"A Home is a terrible thing to waste". "Next time you buy, make the decision to keep it"!
Carla: I am floored by your honesty! I think everyone that turned an eye and said 'How did they get a loan' had a hand in this crisis. I knew it didn't make sense, but as an investor I let the professionals do their job. What a tangled web we all weaved.
