Let's Give Them Something to Blog About - AR Meet-Up in San Jose CA
14 people made rain at the Cheesecake Factory this afternoon. After all, that is what Rainmakers do - right?
From Right to Left, the smiling faces are: Antonio Cardenas, Anja Kerstens, Rebecca Foresee, Lottie Kendall, Bryan Roberston, Gary Frimann, Eric Nelson, Adriana Caldwell, John Juarez, Pacita Dimacali & Kathleen Daniels.
Not in the photo: Mike Young, Wende Schoff & Grace Keng
Not new to ActiveRain but new faces at the Bay Area meet-up today were:
Gary Frimann, Rebecca Foresee & Grace Keng
There are a few things I have permission to share but for the most part, we all agreed that what happened at the Cheesecake Factory today - stays at the Cheesecake Factory.
Rebecca Foresee shared that she credits Pacita Dimacali for joining ActiveRain. Rebecca was searching the Internet for something, she does not remember what, and Pacita's ActiveRain blog posts kept coming up. Not only did Rebecca find what she was looking for via Pacita's blogs but, she discovered ActiveRain as well.
We did a round-table of introductions. When it was Pacita's turn she started by saying something special about each of the members she knows well. It was very heart-felt and endearing. That is just how Pacita rocks!
Wende Schoff highly recommends reading "The One Thing."
We honored Antonio for recently getting his broker license! We also sang Happy Birthday to Antonio in honor of his upcoming birthday on December 6, 2013.
On behalf of myself, as the host, and the entire group, I thanked Eric for his time and effort in sending out over 70 individual emails to members in the County advising them of the Meet-up today. As a result of Eric's effort, three new people joined us today. Eric also brought at guest, Adriana Caldwell, who I expect may be joining Active Rain in the future.
I asked Eric if he would host the next event. His response was .... are you ready for this? "I will, provided everyone agrees to bring a guest." Eric clearly sees the value of ActiveRain and its members.
I agreed to co-host the next meet-up with Eric. We will hold it at a venue with a conference room. Our intention is to create a rain-storming / mastermind meet-up where we will share lessons learned, marketing tips, and, of course, have fun!!!
