The Singing Christmas Trees...an Orlando holiday tradition
If you're anything like me, your first thoughts upon reading this title might have been a simple "Trees don't sing". While that's generally a good mindset to have (I mean, one doesn't stumble upon an Elm tree or a Pine tree belting out a tune every day), it's OK to engage in a bit of disbelief in this case.
Because here in Orlando, trees do sing.
Yes, we're only a few days away from this year's first performance of The Singing Christmas Trees at First Baptist Orlando. There are only six performances in all this year- down from previous years, so if you're interested in experiencing one of Orlando's (indeed, Central Florida's) truly special Christmas events, you'll need to get your tickets right away!
Rather than attempting to describe how trees sing, I've included the following link to First Baptist Orlando's website for the event and a YouTube video from one of the event's performances last year.
