As you may know, Maryland Meetups have had lots of variety over the years.  We have had Happy Hours and luncheons, charity walks and Open Houses, all well attended, all wonderful, and many hosted by Margaret Rome!  Today Alan Gross of Prime Lending gave us the lowdown on the best ways to ensure that our clients, friends and family members:

Today's meetup was all about Appreciation Marketing, a fitting topic, considering most of us just celebrated Thanksgiving.  We have been grateful for our health, family, business and so much more! 

As we finish out 2013 and get ready for an exciting new year in the ever-changing world of Real Estate, determining the best way to help the most people and run a successful business is on the top of everyone's

mind.

 

Some take-a-ways from today's ActiveRain Meetup...

Did you know that there is a VERY small percentage of realtors and loan officers who keep in touch with their database, even though the best source of new business is your current business?

Did you know that there are 8 Things that are important to running a successful business?

  1. Lead Generation
  2. Database
  3. Prospecting
  4. Presentation Skills
  5. Follow Up Skills
  6. Closing Skills
  7. Social Media
  8. Mobile Marketing

Take a minute to grade yourself in those categories...do you have straight A's or are there some areas where you can make some improvement?  I bet that tweaking some areas will mean a HUGE increase in your business!

Are you looking to increase your business in 2014?

I will let you in on a little secret, you will only need a few things to be a HUGE SUCCESS...the Right Tools, the Right Systems, The Right Habits....CONSISTENTLY applied!  That last one is the key. 

There are so many shiny objects marketed to agents and lenders these days. How many times have you heard: 

"IT ONLY TAKES ONE SALE TO PAY FOR ITSELF ALL YEAR!!"?

Pick SOMETHING and WORK IT! 

I bet you will amaze yourself!

Appreciation marketing sounds like a great topic.  That's wonderful you came away with useful information.  An acronym I learned last year is HAS = Habits, Attitude and Skills.  It looks like you covered all your bases!
