Cup of Joe Report - Tout de Sweet Pastry Shop in Bethesda, Maryland
I've been driving a different way to work each morning, passing the ever-changing commerical spaces and trying to get a feel for the types of businesses that will be coming to Bethesda. There are several lunch shops and stores that are walkable from the metro, but there are a few types of businesses that I'm hoping to discover a bit further away. Especially a good coffee shop.
Fortunately, Susan, an agent in my old office introduced me to a wonderful coffee shop in Downtown Bethesda. It's called Tout de Sweet Pastry Shop.
Tout de Sweet offers delicious and strong coffee. Very strong tasty coffee. I know you think I'm repeating myself, but believe me when I tell you that a small coffee will have you alert and ready to go for several hours. All of their coffee drinks are rich and full bodied.
Not only are their coffee drinks divine, their pastries are beautiful, enticing and delicious. I had their almond croissant and couldn't believe how light, flaky, sweet and decadent it was. It was truly a special treat.
Their most popular little treat is their large variety of homemade macarons which are made fresh daily. These are a great addition to a cup of coffee, or a fun colorful gift for friends or kids.
You have probably realized that I like this local coffee shop, but there is one really bad thing about Tout de Sweet that I want to alert you to before it impacts you as it has impacted me. They are closed on Mondays.
