And all is well in the world of Oklahoma High School football as the Jenks Trojan’s will face the Union Redskins for the 18 consecutive year for the state large school football championship. Jenks has won 10 while Union has won 7. Jenks played Westmoore last night in the quarterfinals. Jenks scored on its first 5 possessions to lead 32 to 0 in the first quarter While Union had a competitive game beating the Broken Arrow Tigers. This Saturday some 25,000 to 30,000 fans will be in the stands to watch the finals. Many times the games between these two schools has been won on the last play of the game Also taking place will be the Bedlam series between Oklahoma University and Oklahoma State University.
It’s a great time to be a football fan in Oklahoma. Many of us live with a house divided. Some family members went to OU while others went to OSU. It’s going to get wild and the winner in our house buys dinner.
