South Jordan, UT Real Estate Market Conditions

Our market started slowing down about 10 months ago and now it is picking up again.  Home prices have dropped when compared to a year ago but not by much.  The biggest impact on the market here is that the builders over built, many of the spec homes have dropped in price so existing homes have to compete with builders reducing their prices.  The economy in Utah is awesome we are having lots of people move into Utah because many companies are coming here.  The commercial market is really hot right now.  I agree with Forbes, they ranked Salt Lake (South Jordan is about 15 minutes frome Salt Lake) as the best place to buy real estate recently, the price drop in Utah was due to overbuilding not foreclosures or economy.
