My, my Countrywide Being Investigated by the FBI?

CNN Money reported that subprime mortgages have been "at the root of a crisis that has rocked the U.S. economy."

Now the FBI is looking into fraud allegations against Countrywide Financial Corporation.  Do they read my blog?

Angelo Mozilo continues to defend his "golden parachute"  (more like a gold-embossed space capsule) by indicating that he is entitled to his obscene salary and incentives despite the loss of billions to his company and its shareholders.

Countrywide is the nation's largest mortgage lender with nearly 20% of all mortgages in the US.  While the whole industry continues to sink, they still pursue the marginal borrower.  They will not change their ways only their name once Bank of America completes the purchase of Countrywide.  You can count on it...unless the FBI can persuade them.
