You all know my cat, Shayna. She’s my assistant on the computer in the signature area below. Normally, she loves the computer and enjoys playing with the mouse. But this morning, she checked out our old Underwood which I keep on the old Singer treadle machine (which still works, BTW, so does the Underwood)

I think she likes it! Now, she’ll want to do blogs on the typewriter.

Endre - sometimes, they just disappear. I switch over to IE or Chrome and try. One of those usually works.

Toni, Yes, what is it about cats and keyboards! I have an old Underwood portable typewriter that my dad used. I grew up with a Singer sewing machine just like the one you have in your photo. My mom never used it, but my dad used it for mending in and to repair sheets. In the 1950's women sewed, not men, so my dad's use of the sewing machine was a curiosity.
