All of the cities in the Palm Springs Valley, from Palm Springs on the Western edge, through Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, and into the Eastern cities, La Quinta, Indio and Coachella, are finishing out their abandoned new home projects. This is happening all across the country, and I am so glad it's happening here in the Valley. The past four years have seen the green construction screens become ever more tattered and torn by the desert sands and wind. Not any longer…
Today we're going to visit one of the new home developments in the southern tip of the city of La Quinta, Andalusia at Coral Mountain. A beautiful golf course community, this Drummond development rolled up its carpets, and shuttered the windows, during the slow years of 2008-2011. 2013 however has been a banner year for this beautiful community. 44 homes were sold in 2013, and I was lucky enough to sell one of the small Plan 1's, as well as one of the largest plan 4's. There are still some standing inventory homes, approximately 15 of them ranging in prices from $955,000-$1,120,000.
2014 will continue to see large changes at Andalusia. Some of these changes are as follows...
- The indoor outdoor dining court has doubled in size.
- Construction has begun on the new golf clubhouse, which is set to open in 2015, and will be approximately 15,500 ft.²
- There are three brand-new model homes, Styles one, two and three.
- Construction on 10 new homes will begin in February, for delivery in December 2014.
