Creating More Space When Selling A Home

By

A clean and well-maintained home is not only more marketable but often command a higher sales price.  Buyers want the most home they can buy for the money.  A choppy floor plan in a large home and small room feels less spacious than a smaller home with an open floor plan.

Things to visually create more space:

  • Sell or store extra furniture to minimize the amount of furniture you have in each room.
  • Clear out clutter
  • Keep decorative objects to a minimum
  • Pick up, put away or pack away unnecessary items from countertops.  Clutter makes rooms seem smaller
  • Paint rooms a light color to open up a room which will make rooms more open and inviting

Mirrors placed in the right places make a room appear larger

Yes, advice that not all people take. It really helps sell the home because the buyers can visualize.
