Once a Bison, always a Bison

The best part about living and working in Fargo Moorhead is be a part of a tight-knit community.  It's a great place to buy and sell real estate.  Most of us have grown up in the FM area and are happy with how the metro has grown over the years.

We've also got several North Dakota State University alumni and an office full of die-hard Bison fans.  Over the weekend we watched NDSU tack on another victory (38-7) against Furman University in the second round of FCS playoffs. You would think nothing could slow Bison fans' momentum, and then the news dropped a bomb on us.

Head football coach Craig Bohl has accepted the position of head football coach at the University of Wyoming.  Perhaps this was poor timing for the news to break?  Facebook news feeds and breaking news headlines were all over Fargo Moorhead computer screens over the weekend and still today.  At first it seemed outright offensive that Bohl would commit such an atrocity against the beloved Bison, but after letting the news sink in a little bit, many moods have changed.

Once a Bison, always a Bison.  Coach Bohl has led the Bison to victory time and time again and holds the title of NDSU's all-time winningest coach.  There's no denying that Bohl has accomplished some amazing things while at NDSU.  We have to be happy for him and wish him the best in his next venture.  The Bison are still strong, Coach Bohl will still be there for our Bison to finish out the season, and he'll always be a Bison to us.  Coaches move all the time, this is his career, and we'll happily welcome the next head coach.  After all, our TEAM has been victorious, not just our coach.  The strength of the Bison is the HERD!
