There was a super popular post on Google+ today from ActiveRainer Bill Gassett of RE/MAX Executive Realty.
Just in case you thought ActiveRain was the only place you can get interaction on blog posts, you should check his post out on Google+. As I write this the post has had 444 +1's, 37 comments and 56 shares on Google+, plus 63 Tweets and 42 shares on Facebook.

How to Use Social Media
Ok, so I think you would agree that is very impressive, but those of us who follow Bill on Social Media are kind of used to his posts getting tremendous exposure.
You see, Bill gets how to use social media. He understands the most important rule of SM, that you have to give to receive. Bill gets that SM is not just about promoting your his content. You see, not only is he one of the most followed Realtors across the web, but he's also one of the most active followers and sharers of others. If you leave a comment on Bill's blog, you know he'll be back to help support you too.
So it should not be any surprise that this particularly popular post of his featured the content of others, and included links to the sites of other real estate industry pros, many of which you will recognize from ActiveRain.
ActiveRain + Google Plus = A Match Made in Heaven
ActiveRain is hands down the best "real estate only" social media platform. Nowhere else are so many real estate pros posting and commenting and sharing great ideas. AR is a fantastic place to create content and get exposure from peers.
Google+ is hands down the most important social media platform out there. I love facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Slideshare, etc, I am active on them all. But make no mistake, none of those other platforms have the potential impact on boosting your post's placement in SERPS.
So here is your recipe for success: post to ActiveRain, respond to your comments and engage your supporters, and your detractors, right here in the place you love. Then, share your post to Google+ and engage with new real estate professionals there. It's just not that hard, and you will reap the benefits with increased traffic to your AR blog and your website too.
One piece of content, two different audience. That's called leverage, and with leverage you can do big things.
So remember, your ability to create content sets you apart from your peers. Even you newbies! Be proud of your work and get out there and promote your content to the max. Get on Google+!
