ActiveRain Meet-Up and Book Signing in the Pouring Rain....Let it Rain
We planned to meet in Norco, CA and the news said it was going to rain all day Saturday. Nothing would keep me away even though it was 40 miles away so I got on the road a few minutes early and wondered how many members would be able to make it?
Weather was cloudy and misty but about half way there a cloudburst hit and I could hardly see the cars in front of me. I pulled into the Starbucks Cafe in Norco at 10:01 and was so happy to had arrived safe and fairly dry and only 1 minute late!
Sarah and Les Oswald set up the meet-up with Kerrie. We ended up with 5 ActiveRain members total and we had a great time as we visited for severak hours. It is so much fun to meet in person and share stories and get to know each other in person. I think I can speak for all of us when I say we had a GREAT time and good coffee too.
Richard "Ritchie" Naggar surprised us and brought each one of us a copy of his latest book. Yes, Ritchie is a writer and I think this is his 10th book of the series. This book "Pearls for the Soul" a collection of Positive Sayings was a nice surprised and he personally signed them for each of us.
Ana Hitzel is a professional stager so it was nice to meet someone with a different outlook and very interesting stories.
We asked a nice girl sitting near us to take some pictures with our phones. Here is the photo of all of us just before we attempted to leave in a major rainstorm. Left to Right- Sarah Oswald, Richie Naggar, and Les Oswald. Front left to right- Kristin Hamilton and Ana Hitzel.
