For those of us in the real estate business in Maryland it is no surprise that we rank 3rd in the country in foreclosure rate. According to this article I found, 1 out of every 618 homes received a foreclosure filing. The number 1 and 2 states are Florida and Delaware. Is it a coincidence that the top 3 states all have a large number of vacation beach properties. I doubt it. Maybe now is a good time to pick up a condo at the beach for a deep discounted rate. With that said, how has your state been affected by foreclosures?? Are prices still declining or are home values on the rise again? I welcome your comments.
