An artsy way to ring in the New Year is by taking in The Claim over at the Nanaimo Art Gallery. The Claim is a very interesting multi-media exhibition by Nathan and Cedric Bomford that continues the artists' exploration of Vancouver Island's history and geography. The exhibition runs through January 4th and you can learn more about The Claim by visiting the Art Gallery's website
After getting rave reviews last year, the Snowed In Comedy Tour returns to The Port Theatre on Friday January 10th. The Tour features Arj Barker, Pete Johansson, Craig Campbell and Dan Quinn. Buy your tickets online or learn more at The Port Theatre website
The Nanaimo Annual Early Spring Show takes place January 17 - 19 at the Beban Park Social 
Centre. You'll find exhibitions from architects, builders, contractors and many more. Plus you'll get the first look at the upcoming home improvement, renovating ideas and home appliances for 2014.
