Niagara Falls, one of the seven 'Natural Wonders of the World' is on many 'Bucket Lists'. Have you seen Niagara Falls?
I am fortunate to live just 125 miles from Niagara Falls and still get excited to view the Falls at every opportunity.
This weekend I wanted to take my daughter & her son, Jacob, age 7, to see Niagara Falls illuminated at night.
Well, the best laid plans sometimes go astray. Despite the infamous 'lake effect' snow warnings, so prevalent along the Great Lakes, we still made the decision to venture onto I-90 to travel to Niagara Falls. With a little cautious driving we arrived at hotel in Niagara Falls, New York with no problem.
Swimming in the indoor pool was Jacob's first request, so we planned to view fireworks at Niagara Falls 9:00 pm.
Well, well, well. Needless to say we had a hard time finding our way in the dark and only saw the fireworks from afar and did not see the Falls illuminated.
Here are a few frozen photos from this morning . . .
Yes, we had fun at Niagara Falls, but we decided to return next summer to see Niagara Falls in color.
Next stop: Aquarium at Niagara Falls, Jacob's favorite part of trip and it was much warmer.
Put Niagara Falls on your 'Bucket List' and let's plan an ActiveRain Meet-Up, too. (Niagara Falls is only a 'hop, skip and a jump' from my home in Erie, PA.)
