This has been on my bucket list to do for MANY Years, and I called probably 15 other agents that had one, and they all told me what a great Idea it had been for them. And it's funny, I first posted it here on Active Rain, and got so many negative comments from agents that thought I was stupid for going into the moving business. Good thing I didn't listen to them. I LOVE to think outside the box, and it's the Agents that go over and beyond that Move up!
Gee....we are ending up the year closing 80 transactions this year. The truck is only good for local moves, so many people couldn't use it, but we had it checked out 85 times during the year (out of 52 weeks!!!). It's great for military folks that are in temporary housing and then want to buy, it's easy for them to Move. After clients move in, then they are buying appliances and furniture, and instead of paying $200 for delivery charges, they call me up and borrow the truck for a few hours for FREE. I just ask that eveyone puts Gas back in, when they bring it back. That's my Moving Billboard being driven around the town!!!! I also let charities, schools, the food banks, etc, use it whenever they want....it's my way of Giving back to my Community!
