Snow And Sleet In Middletown, CT. Yesterday we did not get the amount of snow predicted, but the unexpected sleet which fell on top of it made it worst than if we had gotten the additional snow. I am thankful it was not the 36" of snow we got back in February, but the sleet added it's own special twist.
This snow storm is the first significant snow storm we have had this Winter, and dumped more snow on us than the one we had at about the same time last year. My next door neighbor was away, so his wife, daughter, and grandson were alone. If the snow storm had just been snow, his wife and daughter might have been able to clear it themselves, but sleet on top of snow is a whole other story. So besides clearing my driveway, walkways, and cars, I cleared off their driveway, walkways, and car as well. It felt good to help, and to know my neighbor did not have to be concerned about his family's safety while he is away, but my body had a different opinion the next day .... LOL.
I have a feeling the Snow And Sleet In Middletown, CT yesterday is just a taste of what is in store for us this Winter. Below is a picture of my happy face while I was clearing the snow off of driveway.
