Waiter, waiter, percolator....

An added benefit from a recent closing was the inheritance of the sellers 40 year old percolator and I've fallen in love all over again with coffee! Everything is more special with that little pot. I love the ceremony and the preparation of the drink. I love the coffee smell permeating the house. Don't get me wrong, I surely loved the commission from the sale but every time I use this coffee pot, I think of the special people who sold the house and the special people who bought the house.

I love the java jive and it loves me! Whoops Mr Moto I'm a coffee pot :-)

Mona - I have great memories of my parents perking coffee in the morning. It was a delicious smell!

Good morning Mona. Like Peter, I have have really strong and good memories of my parents making coffee. The picture you feature does look like mercury glass though. I loved the music too.

My stove top perculator has never been used. It's still got the label. My grandfather bought it where he worked. It's in my kitchen, but I just can't use it.

Mona well I love coffee but haven't ever seen a coffee pot like that! I do remember percolator pots which were all the rage many years ago - or maybe that's all there was? I don't know!
