A New Day is Breaking

I took this photo the other morning from our back stoop. The sun's morning rays were just beginning to illuminate the overcast winter sky. It was a bitterly cold morning as I awaited our two dogs to finish their business, yet I thought, what a great time to remember that each day is a new beginning.

We hear that a lot, but it is true. While yesterday gives us knowledge, experience and hopefully judgement, it doesn't have any actual bearing on today. We are not promised a tomorrow, who knows what may happen today? I say that not to cause fear, rather to illustrate that all we really have is today! What we do with it is entirely up to us. We can start over, continue doing what is successful, or try something completely new!

It really is up to us to use the day that we know we have. If we make good use of our time and actions each day that we are given, we will leave a legacy! Make it a great day!

Morning is my favorite time and sunrise tells me it will be 12-15 hours of work and some fun taking photographs with my camera. I even seem to find some time for decorating and shopping but need to get busy on my cards. Love your photo with the snow in the picture.
