They Don't Make Calendars Anymore, Do They

Mary Ann, my wife, noticed that our State Farm Insurance agent didn't sent out the pocket calender this year like they have for the last 20 years. So she asked me to pick her up one.

So I was in Kroger and looked for a calendar and there was none. Next I stopped by our CVS Store and after looking in the books and magazine section, I asked the clerk. Nope we don't carry calendars anymore.

Well that's OK,  I will head down to Office Depot and I KNOW they will have calendars. Well they did have a section with decorative calenders, the cheapest being $15.  $15, not $3 or $4 but $15.  They were not that nice either.  I did take the above photo of one of them since I need a calendar picture for one of my blog post, but decided not to buy the expensive calendar you used to get for free.

I personally use an on-line calendar that comes with my email Godaddy account. Plus my smart phone has a nice calendar.  I suppose that is the reason they don't make calendars anymore they are all on-line.  Calendars have retired and become obsolete. I will direct Mary Ann to this post to explain why I came up empty handed. She needs to get an on-line calendar or she will be lost in time.
