The NW Houston 1960 Parade was Sunday and I went to watch and took some photos.  Northwest Houston has a very festive parade with music, many floats of every kind where they throw beads to the croud along with candy, St Patrick's Day hats and other St Patrick's Day trinkets.

Here are some of the floats and people in the parade.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Hi Candy:  I didn't get to go to a St Patties Day parade, so thanks for the pictures.  Ya know, I looked, and I looked at the pictures... trying to find one with you in it... and the closest I could come... was being fairly sure that you were one of the Hawaiian dancers.  Good for you !  Tnanks for sharing.

Karen Anne - I wish you could have went to a St Patties Day parade.  You caught me Karen, I was lead Hawaiian dancer, only I was in front of the others in the photo. :)  Glad you enjoyed the photos.

Candy, Great pictures!!  I wonder how long that little dog will have to be green?  The picture on our tv looks great but for some reason yesterday they were playing a clip of Hillary and her hair was green; it must have been the lighting.  I somehow don't think she tinted her hair green for St Patricks day.

Marchel - That is too funny!  I seen many people with green hair at the parade, if I tried that, with my luck, my hair would be permanent.  I am thinking it is a wash out rince on the dog.

Liz - It was a beautiful day for the parade, was a little windy, but it was in the low 70s and everyone was having so much fun.  I have never been to the downtown parade, I hope to go next year.

How fun - if we had had a parade - it would have been snowed out - I spent St. Paddy's day in Portland - it was great fun

Thesa- Wow!  I can't imagine snow on St Patrick's Day, but that is kind of exciting as long as you are not in the parade I guess.  I do remember it snowed on April 1st in Missouri one time.
