Patagonia, Patagonia---What Might Paradise Be?

Hidden away, tucked in between mountains and rolling grassland hills is the Mountain Empire of Arizona.  Patagonia, Sonoita and Elgin are a paradise unto themselves.

I spent the past weekend in Patagonia (again)...some might say the "crown jewel" of the area.  A scant 20 minutes from Nogales and the border, only 80 minutes from Tucson, yet a world away from the standard expectations of most visitors to our state.

Stunning Green Mountains Guard The Grass-Covered Hills and Town of Patagonia, Arizona

Patagonia attracts people from all walks of life, affording them the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.  A chance to relax, relieve stress and remember what is really important in the grand scheme of things.  Bird-watchers flock to the area, known as a haven along migratory routes.  Lake Patagonia to the south is a draw for pleasure boaters, sportsmen and those who just plain enjoy the rarity of open water in Southern Arizona.

Majestic views and spectacular sights seem to sprout up every time one turns the next corner.

Artists, ranchers and other people who exhibit and cherish a "free spirited" life call this their home.

Next time you're visiting Southern Arizona, you really should take a few days to experience the wonder of Patagonia.  Take a hike.  Literally.  You never know what you might see.

I was driving across a wash, looking for a property address when chance made me look to the right...and catch this rock formation by accident:

If you decide to go...make sure you save room for the incomparable Velvet Elvis Pizza Company...and give me a call.

A slice of Velvet Elvis Pizza is a treat worth a trip to Patagonia all by itself.  If you want to live nearby...I'm your man.  Call, write or email me soon:  paradise is plentiful, but it ain't getting any cheaper!
