This is a good week to introduce you to my oldest daughter Kate. She's a junior at Virginia Tech in the RPM- Residential Property Management program. As you can see, she's a die hard Hokie's fan. When she lived on campus her room was nicknamed  The Trap- you went in but never left!

She's had an account on Activerain for the past year but as a college student, hasn't had the time to take on a blog.  She's active on the tech campus:

  • Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority- External Social Coordinator
  • RPM Club at Virginia Tech
  • VT Students for Concealed Carry on Campus- Media Relations Spokesperson

She goes by the nickname Kat (check out her profile). She's an Alpha Gamma Delta- so if there are any AR sorority sisters out there, give her a shout. She models for one of her fashion major friends and gets to keep some of the designs.

Kat is a natural leader, an activist and a strong young woman with a good head on her shoulders. She knows where she wants to go in life. She's looking to network with property managers and students and would welcome advice on her future career. She'll be interning with Roseland in Boston this summer. Feel free to contact her and encourage her to start blogging!

Hi, Debbie,

I just wanted to jump over to your blog ... now one of your subscribers!  I know you are so proud of Kat and all that she is accomplishing.  I have 2 adult daughters (22 and 25) and I feel the same way about them!  Proud moms have to stand together, don't we?  She'll get that blog going when she has some time. :)

Great intro of your daughter here. I think that it is often intimidating to start blogging (and time consuming) but once she is ready, I'm sure she will be as addicted as the rest of us! Hopefully, we will hear her voice in the Rain soon!

LOL! Rich that is too funny! Too bad they didn't put more thought into their seating arrangement! Kat is so funny, it doesn't matter what the temperature is, that girl will be painted up and half naked for the game!

Thanks Deborah! Kat just went to her first conference and met so many presidents and managers of Property Management companies, the networking was great. She wrote her first blog too!

Debbie,  Good luck to your daugher.  I hope she enjoys property management.  It has a lot to offer!  Don't forget to tell her about the Institute of Real Estate Management and the National Association of Residential Property Managers.  Practical places to further a property management career.
