whale watching Maui

I have to ask my self sometimes.  Okay I have lived on Maui for 41 years and I still love life on Maui. What are some of the things that I really like about Maui. So here is a list of things that I love to do on Maui with out giving away to many secrets.

1. Camping in Hana. Okay your on vacation your gonna stay in a condo or hotel. Well buy a two man tent, cooler, buy couple sleeping bags.  Okay your still saving big money from staying at a hotel. Now go camping in Hana at the National park $10 night. Go hiking in Bamboo forest and swim in the pools. Watch the stars at night, this is a great Maui experience.

 2. Most people go up to Haleakala Crater for sunrise, brrrr. Well I am a sunset lover.  You might even hike in the crater for an hour down sliding sands and come back up for the evening sunset. Oh yes bring a jacket it does get really cold. On a clear day sunsets over looking Maui are exceptional.

3. You want to go whale watching, and it cost how much. Okay local tip, take the ferry from Lahaina to the island of Lanai $60 round trip. You will see whales, dolphins and spend the day on one of Lanai's most beautiful beaches. Hit subway night before for pinic lunch and bring your diving gear. You can even go to Four Seasons for lunch, Perfect day.

4. A trip to Ulupalakua Ranch, visit the winery and have lunch at the ranch store.  Love the Elk burgers. Really beautiful part of Up-Country Maui.

So if your looking to explore Maui, it is a very diverse island offering many adventures, so get off the beat and path and have fun. If you looking to buy Maui real estate give me a call.

I remember hiking the bamboo forest and we really enjoyed the whale watching as well.  I have never made it up to Haleakala (one of these days) and would really like to try Ulupalakua Ranch one of these years, that sounds like fun.

Hi Steven- It's strange to think that it can get that cold in Maui, but with the elevation of the Haleakala crater, I get why it is so chill. I can't wait to visit!
