The Glen Ellyn District 41 Board of Education at a February 5, 2007 meeting voted to put forth a $40 million bond referendum to expand and renovate the existing 5 elementary schools.  The referendum will be on the April 17, 2007 ballot.

The board members spent over 3 hours discussing options to alleviate the over crowded elementary schools.  A 6-0 vote with one abstention decided to ask the community for money via a referendum.  Currently, more than 580 students are being taught in 26 portable classrooms.   A referendum fact sheet is available from the district for more information.
