We get all kinds of calls for all kinds of inspections and questions.
This call was for a stucco inspection that is all the buyers wanted. The buyers asked if I could inspect the home to see what kind of stucco the home had on the exterior of the home.
Not a problem I told them. I wanted to know of theywanted to get a full home inspection.
They told me no the home has already been inspected.
REALLY!
My next question was "Why the home inspector did not state in the report what kind of exterior stucco was on the home".
The buyers told me that the home inspectors in the Hobbs area will not inspect the exterior stucco. They calim the liability is too great.
Seems I have heard this old song and dance before.
If you have a home insection Company, then why not inspect everything on a home. Why have the buyers or Realtors have to call a roofer for a roofing inspection?
An electrician for an electrical inspection.
A plumber for a plumbing inspection.
A heating and cooling conractor for the heating and cooling systems inspection on a home?
This seems to becoming a trend I don't care for.
Do I offer too much?
Or should I fall in line and not inspect what the "Other inspectors don't inspect at all"?
I feel a home is a home and it should be fully inspected by the home inspector when on site.
Just my honest opinion.
Other inspectors can do what they do, so will I.
Getting back to the stucco inspection. The home doe;s have a cement three system stucco.
The buyers were really happy.
