How to get it sooner rather than later:

In a recent RIS Media article “7 Steps to Getting Your Stimulus Check Sooner”, Marshall Loeb gives action steps to take to receive the money as soon as it is available. Here are the 7 steps:

Prepare and file you 2008 Income Tax Return as soon as you can.

If you use a tax preparer, provided full and complete information so he/she can complete and file your return quickly.

Make sure the return is complete and contains no errors. Errors delay acceptance by the IRS .

Provide direct deposit information.

Do not ask for a split deposit.

Let IRS know where to find you.

The check is in the mail...Well, the direct deposit is scheduled. Nowadays, I guess that is saying the same thing, yeah?

Marzena - I find it amazing that most CPA's are charging extra now to file by mail instead of e-filing. Speaking of tires, how many do you go through in a year? Come see the castle when you get down this way! Thanks for stopping by :)
