The winter solstice began yesterday here in United States at 12:11 PM Eastern Standard Time. Needless to say I missed it! Drats!!! It came and went without any huge fanfare – at least in my life. Although yesterday marked the first official day of winter, in my book, it marks 90 days until the beginning of spring and much warmer weather. It sure will be nice to see these fellows in my backyard again.
