MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MY ACTIVE RAIN BROTHERS AND SISTERS!
This year I am baking lots of home made cookies. I am remembering John's granny who made cookies of many varieties each week. We could always count on going to her little red brick house and have a hot cup of coffee with a freshly baked cookie.
This year I wanted to enjoy my Christmas Tree so I had it put up early... before Thanks Giving! I was reminded that cousin Steve so loved the Christmas season. He was a special child and was told he would not live past five years of age. He fooled the doctors and lived well into his thirties even thou he had a mentality of a nine year old. He was fun!
My blood nephew Felipe loved Christmas too! He has been gone since 2009. He had a rate blood disorder and passed at the age of 21 just as the doctors perdicited.
My blood grandmother Thomasa (what a name) loved Christmas. She would always just cut down a tree branch and decorate it. It always came out beautiful. She was so special as my moms mom passed when my mom was in fourth grade. So this was the only grandmother I had.
I have many relatives who have passed and they all bring a smile to my face. I miss them all. I am not sad just happy I was able to know them and know how much fun they could be.
Christmas is a good time to remember them and what a gift they were to our lives.
