How would you describe this Christmas tree ornament?

We usually know where we acquired long used Christmas ornaments but sometimes we do not know the history or significance of the ornament.

This ornament is a doll but it there a deeper history? What do you think?

Sometimes doll ornaments like the one shown above have ties to a European country or culture. I have a hunch that could be the case with this particular ornament. Maybe if you can find out where that ornament was produced, then that would give you more information.

Interesting, Roy. I can see or feel there is a history in this doll ornament, however, I. recently decided a photo on a post was an old wall attached pencil sharpener. Wrong!!
