Top 5 Things to Prepare for 2014
No matter what business you are in, you need to be prepared for the upcoming year. This means creating a list and attending to the items on that list. Time and again you hear these New Year's resolutions:
- Be more prepared
- Go on a diet.
- Spend More Time with Family
And don't get me wrong, these are all great resolutions. But I warn you that these will not cover your business needs entirely. Here is a list of my Top 5 Things to Prepare for 2014:
1) Use the last week of 2013 to review the year. This will help you look backward on your successes and failures and take steps to recreate the positive and remove the negative! Note where you spent money, how much you spent in each area of your business and what your return on investment was.
2) Who were your clients? How many transactions did you do for buyers; sellers; relocations; or first time buyers. Did one type of client lead to more closed deals than another? That may be telling you something right there. Use this information to target your client base.
3) Set your social media and social marketing budget. This is probably the most important section of the expense allocation in your budget for 2014. What is your social media and marketing plan for 2014.
4) Hire Assistants. Your business takes every bit of attention you can afford. But why should you worry about doing the smaller tasks each day. Wouldn't it be easier and more coste efficient to hire someone to help? Consider finding a Virtual Assistant who is well versed and highly trained in your field.
5) Prepare for Growth! If you attend to the tasks above you should anticipate growth and greater income opportunities with less stress!
I encourage you to sit down and spend some time considering my Top 5 Things to Prepare for 2014. Don't let minor details slip through the cracks. Meet the challenges head on now to maximize your time and potential for 2014!
