Change the LOCKS on YOUR New HOME.
I always recommend to my LAKE ARROWHEAD buyers, after closing an escrow on their new home, to get the door locks changed. Nowadays, you can even have them re keyed.
"Oh, I hadn't thought about that." Most say. And it is probably the last thing they are thinking about. Their mind is on getting the utilities changed, the movers lined up and maybe the place spiffed up.
It's not that I am a suspicious person (ok, maybe I am, a tad), but you have no idea how many keys have been handed out to the former owners family & friends over the years. SO, to feel safe & sound, you might as well have a locksmith come out and take care of the locks. It's actually fairly inexpensive.
