Lingering Holiday Lights & Decorations in Downtown Richmond Virginia

Have any of your visiting friends or relatives suddenly announced that they're luckily staying with you for a few extra days longer than originally expected?  There still are a few holiday diversions to help entertain guests.

For people who enjoy viewing a few more nights of seasonal holiday lights and decorations, one option for visitors and residents of Richmond Virginia is coming downtown to view the interior lobby area and the exterior surroundings at the James Center.  There still is plenty to see both indoors and outdoors!

The other night after finishing our workouts at the James Center YMCA, a friend and I took a few minutes to explore the Three James Center lobby and view the holiday decorations there.  Some were indoor lighted themes that carried to the outdoor plaza.  Other decorations besides lights also remain in the lobby until the holiday takedown, which is shown as scheduled on the James Center Complex Events Calendar on Jan. 4, 2014.  Fortunately, I carry my iPhone 5 with me almost everywhere to capture amateur photos at a moment's notice!

The nutcracker is one familiar indoor theme at the James Center.

A familiar nutcracker stands surrounded with other presents inside Three James Center.

Santa's mailbox is located in the James Center lobby for the holiday season.

Another fun display for many kids visiting the James Center lobby is Santa's mailbox.

Outdoors in the plaza is a lighted Christmas tree.

A large Christmas tree stands in the plaza outside of the James Center, Richmond Virginia.

More lighted reindeer forms cluster at the James Center plaza.

More reindeer often are found in clusters outside at the James Center plaza.

More lighted decorations are found at the James Center plaza.

Andrew, what a super collection of your photos at the Three James Center. Very pretty; liked them all and especially the white light reindeer  and red poinsettias. Lovely. Good shots, Andrew, with your iphone 5 and your artistic spirit. Have a wonderful, joyful, healthy, and prosperous New Year.

Those are pretty good photos, Andrew. I have an iphone, and I shoot a lot of photos with mine, too. In fact, the photos in my blog today were shot with my iphone. You can't really tell the difference, especially if you use a editing app like Snapseed. Check it out.

Have you photographed the lights at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden?  That is a place that we would love to see this week.
