Speechless Sunday: Walking on the other Side

We all have our routines, and every so often we do the exact opposite. On this particular day, we walked the Carpinteria State Beach (a state park), instead of Sandyland Beach (our usual walk). It was an absolutely picture perfect day, and we enjoyed a new perspective.

We headed towards the sea rookery (which is not accessible by foot, because the seals are having their pups, and they are protected from predators and people). On our way back, we took this shot. You can see the Channel Islands and the oil derricks in the distance, if you magnify the picture.

Alexandra well said we are creatures of habit and so seldom do we break it. I live 500 yards from the beach and do not take enough time to enjoy it. Just like when I lived on the East Coast I used to say when I relocate to California I will be in the Jacuzzi every night:)) I can count on two hands how often I was in the Jacuzzi in the past 15+ years:)), Endre p.s.: great new perspective of the beach view:)
