Providence Hospital is conveniently located in the center of the city, within about 10 miles from anywhere in Anchorage.  With a close proximity to University of Alaska, Alaska Pacific University, and the Alaska Native Medical Center, it is no wonder the UMED District, short for University-Medical, is one of the most sought-after areas of the city.  It's not uncommon to see neighborhood kids playing the streets of these quaint little neighborhoods during the summer and sledding down snow covered streets in the winter. It's far enough from the main hustle and bustle of the city that residents don't feel like the urban center of Anchorage is knocking on their door.

Providence Hospital is located right in the Center of the city in the heart of the U-Med University-Medical District.  Downtown Anchorage is just 5 miles away.   Numerous parks, trails, and shopping are nearby.   • Anchor Park Neighborhood 2 to 5 bedroom homes are between 900 to 2000 square feet.  Most homes are ranch style (one level), a few have been raised with a second story added.  Floor plans feature big kitchens, family rooms, fireplaces, spacious bedrooms.  Most of the homes in the Anchor Park Neighborhood in Anchorage AK were built in the 1950s and early 1960s.  These homes have been remodeled and updated extensively over the years.  Some homes have added an attached and heated garage.   • Baxter Heights Condos are two story townhouse style homes which are generally going to range between 984 and 1496 square feet.  These homes were built back in the early 1970's.  The smallest homes in these condos start with two bedrooms while the larger floor plans have a three bedroom layout.  Floor plans feature spacious and kitchens, dining rooms, fireplaces, and spacious master bedrooms.  Some homes have an attached and heated garage with space for one car.  Each home has panoramic views of Baxter Bog Park as well as a fenced yard!  Home prices range between $195,000 to $220,000.
  • Chester Valley Subdivision prices range from $250,000 to $280,000.  Resale value for homes in the Chester Valley Subdivision varies depending upon condition, size, and remodeling upgrades. A serious fixer-upper might sell for as low as $170,000 and a completely renovated home could sell for $300,000. 
  • College Village Neighborhood 2 to 6 bedroom homes range in size between 1100 to 4300 square feet.  Floor plans feature big kitchens, family rooms, fireplaces, spacious bedrooms.  Most of the homes in the College Village Neighborhood in Anchorage AK were built in the 1960s and early 1970s.  These homes have been remodeled and updated extensively over the years.  Some homes have added an attached and heated garage with space for two or three vehicles. Resale values range between $325,000 and $440,000.
  • Geneva Woods Neighborhood floor plans are spacious and open featuring contemporary design throughout.  Bedrooms are spacious with room for all your furniture!  Master suite features a walk-in closet and private bathroom.  Each home features a spacious gourmet kitchen, lots of windows, and an attached and heated garage with space for two or three vehicles.  Homes in the Geneva Woods Neighborhood in Anchorage AK were built in the late 1960s and 1970s.  Most of these homes have been updated and remodeled with modern touches.  A few newer homes were built in the early 2000s.  3 to 6 bedroom homes range from about 1,700 to 8,000 square feet.  Prices for homes in Geneva Woods Neighborhood in Anchorage AK range from $425,000 to $600,000. 
  • Nunaka Valley Neighborhood homes have 2 to 3 bedrooms and 1 to 2 bathrooms and are 700 to 800 square feet.  Several homes have been raised with another level of finished living space added, these homes have 3 to 4 bedrooms and are bout 1400 square feet.  Yards range in size from 5,000 to 9,000 square feet.  Nunaka Valley Neighborhood in Anchorage AK was developed in the 1950s, with most homes being built in the 1950s and 1960s.  Most homes have been continually updated and remodeled since then.  Some homes have added garages over the years.  Prices range from $150,000 to $235,000.
  • Pine Valley Estates Neighborhood homes are generally going to range between 1500 and 2300 square feet. Most of the homes were originally built back in the 1980's and early 1990's.  The last set of homes in this subdivision were built in 1995. Since then, many of the homes have had updates and it's not uncommon to find homes that have extensive remodeling. The smallest homes in the neighborhood start with 3 bedrooms while the larger floor plans have a four bedroom layout. Most of the lots range between 3700 square feet and a 6100 square feet.  Neighborhood backs up to Russian Jack Springs Park North running and skiing trail system!  $275,000 and $300,000.
  • Rogers Park Neighborhood 3 to 6 bedroom homes are between 1000 to 5000 square feet.  Floor plans feature big kitchens, family rooms, fireplaces, spacious bedrooms.  Most of the homes in the Rogers Park Neighborhood in Anchorage AK were built in the 1950s and 1960s.  These homes have been remodeled and updated extensively over the years.  A few newer homes have been built with the last home being completed in 2006.  Some homes have added an attached and heated garage, some with space for three vehicles!  Home values range between $200,000 and $600,000
  • Scenic Park Estates one and two stories, 2 to 6 bedroom homes range in size from 984 to 3100 square feet.  Homes were built on .2 to .5 acre lots with spacious front yards and fenced back yards with mature trees.  Most of the homes in Scenic Park Estates have an attached and heated two car garage.  This is a well established friendly neighborhood, homes were built in the 1960s and 1970s with the last home completed in 1983.  It is not unusual for the Scenic Park Estates homes to have fantastic views of the nearby Chugach Mountains.  Home values range from $220,000 and $409,900.
  • Thunderbird Terrace Neighborhood 3 to 5 bedroom homes are between 900 to 2700 square feet.  Floor plans feature big kitchens, family rooms, fireplaces, spacious bedrooms.  Most of the homes in the Thunderbird Neighborhood in Anchorage AK were built in the 1970s and early 1980s.  These homes have been remodeled and updated extensively over the years.  A few newer homes have been built with the last home being completed in 2000.  Some homes have added an attached and heated garage.  Home values range between $200,000 and $300,000.
