Great Leander, TX Restaurant
I am sure like everyone else, we are always looking for somewhere to eat that is new and different and close to home. But when you find it, and the menu is serving all your favorite things, and reasonably priced…Winner…Winner….Crawfish Dinner!
We finally got a chance to check out Moutons Southern Bistro today. Located at 309 N Hwy 183, Leander, Texas 78641. For the locals, that is just south of the big HEB at 183 and 2243.
Chef and operating owner, Ben Mouton, has been in the restaurant industry for 22 years with culinary training in New Orleans and had experience in managing various restaurants and bars in the Austin area.
We have now found another favorite place to eat. We are looking forward to trying everything on the menu. We had a hard time trying to decide on just one thing each for lunch today….because everything looked good.
We started with the Crawfish Dip and were hooked! The Shrimp PoBoy was the best I have ever had. The table next to us were all having the Chicken Fried Steak, and man were those some hefty servings! If it tasted half as good as it looked, and the fact they cleaned those plates, they were satisfied customers too.
Someday I hope to save room for some of the peach bread pudding. Just one of the dessert choices they offer. Perhaps I should just order and bring some home, because I know I will never have room after I eat…but will have room a couple hours later!
They do have free live music on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm-9pm, and Sundays from 11am to 2pm. They should have events listed on the their website.
Leander is growing leaps and bounds, and I can still find you a home with no money down! Call me today!
