Homestead Exemptions!!

Don't forget to tell your new home buyers they only have until March 1st to file for their $25,000 homestead exemption. This will lock them in for next year so that their property taxes can only be increased by 3% per year. There is also an exemption for low income seniors who qualify, please check with your local property appraisers office for exact incomes. Widows, widowers and some disabilities also can take advantage of additional exemptions, too.
