I am not great at achieving long range goals that often involve large commitments of time and task. Day by day is more my style. Today I am thinking about kindness and how easy it is, and how good it makes me feel. I read something on Facebook recently that I can't forget. A couple was driving and the man waved at everyone he saw. When his companion asked him why he did this, he replied that he had recently read that numerous people who had committed suicide said if if even one person had acknowledged them, they might have been persuaded to continue to try. Kindness is simple and often matters more than you would think. Today, I choose kindness.
Sheila,
Thanks for the great post. We sometimes forget that a simple small kindness can truly make a difference. Thanks for the reminder!!!
Sheila
I agree but lets make that commitment to the whole year. I know we can do it.
Sheila, one day at a time is a great start!! Small goals creat the success for much larger goals! Do today, which becomes an improvement over yesterday!!
Nothing wrong with being more kind in 2014, starting with today Sheila!
Loved that Facebook story.
I always try to be a source of friendliness to everyone, strangers included, when I am out and about. A kind word and a smile, simple acknowledgement of others, does go a long way to making the world a better place.
Sheila kindness has been on my mind lately as well. There are so many folks that appreciate just a little smile or nice word. It seems like I got so busy and I was forgetting to add a little spice to all I meet throughout the day. My Mom was an expert at kindness and it is so important. Cheers! Happy New Year!
Sheila- you just never know when that smile you share or a "Good morning" can make someone's day.
Good afternoon friends and thank you for stopping by and leaving your comments and offering your support: I really appreciate it.
Hello Trisha and thank you for your affirmation and interest. Happy New Year.
Hi Tim. I do what I can a day at a time, thank you. Have a good day.
Hello Dan. I like and share your thinking. One step at a time. Happy New Year.
Hi Tom. I loved that Facebook story too. You just never know about others and it is easy to say hello, wave or nodd. Thanks for your support and enjoy the evening.
Hello Chris Ann. You are special and I am not surprised. I am glad to know you.

Kindness is always the best choice. I go out of my way to choose it too. Sometimes to my own detriment, but I'll keep doing it.
Morning Sheila I also had heard that one. We get so involved with our daily routine or life we don't notice people around us. Sad but true.
Hello Tammy. I am not surprised but happy for your choice.
Hi James. Keep on keeping on.
Sheila
Donald has a harder time always choosing it. But I guess when you work with people who profess to hate you every single day it could get hard.
