ASK AN AMBASSADOR:  How Can I Get A Free ActiveRain Account?

Of course you can have a FREE ActiveRain account.  Anyone can, just sign up and you're in.  However, just having a FREE ActiveRain account doesn't accomplish much unless your only purpose is agent to agent.  If you're trying to reach the consumer, the FREE account is like being a radio DJ with the transmitter turned off.  You can yammer all you want, but no outside of the room is going to hear you.

What you need is a RAINMAKER account.  And RAINMAKER status is the key to releasing your posts to Google and the consumers.  And blog right and that RAINMAKER monthly fee will get paid many times over.  And part of the beauty of Active Rain is that fee goes down with every 100,000 points you earn!  $10 off your monthly every time you hit another 100,000 points!  SWEET!!

So if you're like most of us, you like FREE don't you?  And the best way to get a FREE Rainmaker account?  Participate and get to the 500,000 point mark as rapidly as possible. 

How long will that take you?  That depends on you!  The more you participate, the quicker you get there.

Standard ways to get points:

So if you break that down, before invites, features, comment points on your posts, contests and all the "extra" categories, if you participate fully on a weekly basis, that's about 5,000 points per week.  We'll give you a couple of weeks off for vacations and that puts you at about 250,000 points per year if you keep your fingers on the keyboard.

In two years, or less, you can reach 500,000 points.  We've seen it done quicker, and we've seen it done a LOT slower.  Like we said earlier, it depends on you and how much time/effort you want to dedicate to Active Rain participation.  Participate in the challenges, invite others, etc. and you can really accelerate your point gathering and cut months off the time it takes to reach 500,000 points and full FREE Rainmaker status.

But the fringe benefit (not really fringe actually) is that during that participation you're accomplishing MANY things beneficial to your business:

• Building a referral network
• Learning more about your market
• Learning to write better
• Learning about the latest real estate trends and techniques and gizmos
• Making a ton of friends (IF you choose to participate fully ON A SOCIAL LEVEL)
• Gaining business (TBD dependent upon your blog post topic selection)

So if you want a FREE Rainmaker account, our best suggestion is grab your keyboard and start working towards that 500,000 points.  Two years may seem like forever, but we guarantee you'll enjoy the journey and your business will prosper for the effort IF you blog properly and have patience!
