As a real estate agent, I discuss with all my clients the benefits of getting a home warranty for the home they are either purchasing or selling.  I do so because of the security that it gives the clients if anything were to go wrong either while they are selling or in their new home.

Well, I should have listened to myself when listing my own home.  As I mentioned in my last post, I listed my personal residence yesterday.  Wouldn't you know it, 4 hours later, my washing machine DIED!

I said to myself, everything is fine with my house, I've fixed it all or it's been ok.  Nope.  I now have to go and buy a new washer tomorrow.

I guess that's a new example to tell my clients.  Isn't it wonderful to have new examples to use each week!

Have fun and encourage those Home Warranties!

No one regards not having one until something breaks, then they really regret it.

We must practice what we preach. I guess we are always advising our clients but sometimes think that these things don't apply to us...

Read my in depth blog on home warranties. It's good. Click my name...then my blog and scroll. It's about American Home Shield. It's such a good thing to offer to your sellers ...and helps a sale.

I do not leave home with out my home warrenty or putting a warrenty on a home that I have listed. I feel it is small insurance against, the unknown. If I am working with a buyer that is one of the perks that I offer. I use home warrenties as part of my ammunition. I feel an ounce of prevention is worth pound of the cure.

I too have written a couple of articles about the value of having a home warrenty, if you didnt convince yourself for one how well did your clients buy them?
