Twas the day of the home inspection

and all through the house

not a creature was stirring

not even a mouse (he already left his mess in the insulation in the attic).

The buyer was nestled all snug in their thoughts

thinking and planning where to put all the furniture that will be bought.

The home inspector moved through the house with care

making sure to note all the items the buyer should be aware.

Electrical, plumbing and HVAC galore,

The roof, the exterior, the interior and more.

A couple of hours of inspecting had passed

and now the home inspector looked up at the ceiling for the last task.

He got out his ladder and climbed to the top

then moved the attic hatch and and went up with a hop.

He moved through the attic and kept a good eye

making sure everything would be safe for the occupants inside.

He finished the job and went to his laptop

and entered the pictures and finished right up.

The buyers were waiting with joy and concern

and the inspector was eager to share what was learned.

Sometimes the news is good and sometimes it's bad

but the inspector is honest with the information he has.

The buyers now know the condition of the home

and whether they buy or the leave the home inspector usually never knows.

But he goes to his own house and lays down his head

because he sleeps well at night knowing the good job that he did.

I don't know how or why this came to me but I went with it and thought I'd share it.  There are many good and honest home inspectors out there and we sleep good at night because we do what's right for our clients.

Be safe out there.

That was original, I may have to refer back to this one, goodness knows I can't repeat it.  Great job. And yes, I sleep good at night, tho it is usually in my chair for the first part of the evening.

Cute.  Very creative....My favorite part was about the mice leaving their mess in the insulation-priceless!

Joseph....I was keeping beat to your little jingle :)  Today I was talking to someone about homes on the Market and for some reason I told him about you, and that I found you here on Active Rain and was very impressed with your "honesty".....and that hopefully you will be inspecting one of my homes very shortly.....can you see me crossing my fingers :) :)
