South Pasadena CA - Lofts for Sale and 2013 Real Estate Market Update
This is a summary of the South Pasadena market update for the lofts segment of the real estate market update. All statistical information is from the local multiple listing service(mls) as of January 5, 2014.
The number of lofts in South Pasadena is small in comparison to the total real estate market but it is one that garners quite a bit of attention. Within the city, there are some lofts that have been transformed from older buildings to those that were built new.
South Pasadena is a separate city within the San Gabriel Valley known for its small town charm with tree-lined streets, unique shops and restaurants, well-regarded schools, popular parks and recreation programs, highly acclaimed public library and uber-convenient location. The weekly Farmers Market is held near the South Pasadena Gold Line light rail station and is definitely a must-attend event each Thursday.
There are currently no South Pasadena lofts on the market for sale. In 2013, there were six lofts sold ranging in closed price from $370,000 to $650,000 with an average sales price of $458,167 and a median price of $434,500. The average price per square foot for the period was $439.73 and the average sales price was 99.29% of the last list price.
In 2012, there was a total of nine lofts sold in the city according to mls statistics. The sales ranged in price from $295,000 to $600,000 with an average sales price of $473,267 and a median sales price of $459,900. The average sales price per square foot was $424.41 and the average sales price was 98.37% of the last list price.
