I was wondering what if any plans anyone has a plan set up for self improvement. I am not talking about required continuing education requirements; I am talking about on your own studying or taking classes to better yourself. I have through the years taken the opportunity to read a lot of different types of books. It isn't necessarily a focused effort, rather just reading non fiction books that interest me at the time.
I was just wondering what approach other realtors take. I have yet to break down and commit to taking classes other that what our broker has put together for us as an office. There are a wealth of classes that most colleges offer through continuing education programs, I just have a hard time committing the dedicated time. It seems like the last couple of time that I tried that, the phone went nuts and clients want to see homes. It becomes a little frustrating, so I just go and find a couple of books and read them.
The one thing that it has help me to do is build up a pretty good library.
Like I said my approach lacks direct focus, but that sort of suits me. I try not to focus strictly on Real Estate, but rather on selling in general, or leadership type books. I guess that I try to challenge my intellect as well as my spirit with my approach. I need to work the physical into it as well. Let me know what you have found successful, and what you recommend!
