Well Spring is less than 24hrs away and for Home Stagers in Greater Vancouver the busy Spring market is really heating up! This past few weeks has been incredibly busy for all of us at Celebrate. Now with a day's breather I can finally get to some creative blogging and share one of our favorites! I have been looking forward to this particular project for six weeks and we finally got to complete it this past Thursday. I think it may be one of the best design & home staging projects we have done yet!
We have the great privilege to work with two amazing investors who have been buying and flipping condominiums for the past 6 months. Our first staging project with them was featured in my February blog "First Flip Won't be Their Last" This particular project is also in the same building as the Show suite we have staged. You can view that blog at "Show Suites are the BEST Advertisement"
The "Before" pictures of the Condo show just how life less and boring it really started out as. We started our inspiration with the paint colors, then chose lighting, flooring, hardware and even the concept for the wainscoting. By adding the wainscoting in the halls it actually made the space feel wider and very luxurious. The Flush Mount Flying Saucers (UGH) were replaced with directional Pot lights to create a gallery feel.

We hung custom Art photo's along the hallway, these phot'os were taken by our very own Jianni! Jianni is a professional photographer and also Alexandra's husband, he is the one responsible for all our magnificent photo's!

By Knocking out the wall and the end hall linen closet we were able to create a proper dining room complete with a beautiful chandelier. The stained glass antique window is the sellers trademark item they put into each flip and the office is on the other side.

The end wall in the kitchen was also taken back to the support stud giving an open unobstructed view. We chose rubbed bronze Pendant lighting above the sit up bar and all the pulls for a high end bold look.

We took quite a few vignette shots in this project. They are perfect for future ad campaigns and brochures. The bagel shot is my favorite. It made me think of Kathleen Garvey's blog "Several Home Stagers have done it now!!...Have You?"
We had the Fireplace mantle painted out and the over-mantle painted the same color as the Living Room Feature wall.

I'd like to Thank Trish & Grace from Ready Set Show for the White Living room Leather set rented for this space, their rental furniture is First Class as is their customer service! Off the living room was a very large outdoor patio and we had the concrete railing painted out and placed two separate configurations to really play up on the huge outdoor space.

The existing Storage /Utility room was converted into a small office with built in cabinetry.

The bedrooms before the new flooring, paint and eventual Staging seemed small and cramped, once all was said and done they became inviting and the Master bedroom took center stage.

The closet in the Master bedroom featured beautiful built in cabinetry and by not hiding it all away with heavy sliding doors the closet became a grand dressing room.

Main Bath & Ensuite Before's & After.... Original Mirrors were framed up with molding & lighting replaced.. among other things!!

The paint colors chosen for the Suite are all Benjamin Moore colors.
Cloud White CC-40 Wainscoting, Doors, Baseboard & Trim
Cement Gray 2112-60 Main Halls, Dining Room and Office
Stone 2112-40 Fireplace Over-Mantle & Living Feature Wall
Shale CC-458 Master Ensuite, Interior of Master Closet, Guest Bedroom
Deer Granite CC-452 Main Bathroom and Master Bedroom
Black Bean Soup 2130-10 Fireplace Mantle
So the first Open house has not yet taken place as the Realtor is away on Spring Break but the pictures are live on MLS and the Realtor's website. You can be sure the list of people itching to get in to see this suite will be very long! I'll be sure an update the blog with the result of the sale as soon as it happens...
