Selling your home: Why North Dakota is a great place to be

We stumbled upon this fantastic interactive map detailing U.S. housing price appreciation since 1975.  (Click or copy+paste this link http://www.estateofmindsites.com/subscriber_new/map.php?user_id=1&share=y )

The statistics included in this map make us even more excited to be in the real estate business in North Dakota!  Just over the past 5 years, North Dakota is one of only 9 states to have appreciated. We experienced a 26.75% appreciation, the closest state coming in at 2nd place is South Dakota at 6.86% - that's a big difference!  In the last year, North Dakota comes in at the 3rd highest appreciation rate behind Nevada and California.

Check out our newest Youtube video, where our own Josh Boschee explains what that means for potential sellers in our area:

It is beyond me why there is not a higher influx of folks from other northern states like Michigan where the economy is TANKING.  North Dakota's economy has received the benefit of industry and intelligent political leaders.

Elva and Eric- Thank you for your comments!  The oil boom has created countless jobs for people of ND and for many folks coming in from all over the country.  That in turn has resulted in tremendous growth throughout the state which then causes companies, universities, business, etc., to grow and fuel even more jobs!  I think all of us working in the real estate business here feel pretty darn lucky!
